I am associate professor of Language teaching methodology the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. I am a member of the Executive Committee of the European Second Language Association (Eurosla), and of the network Second Language Acquisition and Testing in Europe (SLATE). My research focusses on L2 interaction and socialization, methodology and epistemology in applied linguistics, cross-cultural and intercultural CA.
